There is a lot of interest for fun events and competitions, a few competitors are interested in competing in the national indoor series, and qualifying to go to the championships at the end of the indoor season in April. and also some juniors have competed in the championships and have done very well.
These indoor competitions are primarily for novice drivers as the top outdoor competitors do not do these events as it is there rest time for their horses and ponies.
So this is a time for anyone to have a go at competition with a precision and paces test, followed by cones, with an optimum time (not too fast or too slow) and the obstacles. horses don't need to be as fit for these fun activities, as there is no marathon or even road drive, every thing is done at your own pace, But watch the juniors,! they are quite speedy in the obstacles.
The best types of turn out for this event are your little ponies they are best suited to these indoor competitions and are great fun, usually loving it. Having said that anything goes, so if you want to bring horses you are just as welcome, as is any size or shape of equine.
Two or four wheeled carriages can be used with pneumatic tyres or solid rubber. if possible a track width of 125cm, but we will accommodate narrower ones please let me know in advance if yours is narrower.
